3/21/22

Spring is here- and with it, lots of fun activities to partake in! Below are the top things to do in Cherokee County this Spring:

On April 8th at Madlife Stage & Studios in Woodstock, the #1 tribute of Sir Elton John will be performing. Don’t miss this authentic reproduction of Elton John, mostly representative of his 70s, 80s, and 90s shows. Elton Live!- originally from Atlanta, GA is not an impersonation, but a group of professional musicians bringing to life Elton John’s music and studio recordings.

On Saturday, May 7th, 2022, Cherokee County’s favorite hats-on event is back! Benefitting History Cherokee, there will be a fun-filled afternoon featuring gourmet food and drink, a hat contest, pony pull, silent auction, and screening of this year’s Kentucky Derby. Located at the Mill on Etowah in Downtown Canton, support History Cherokee by becoming a sponsor or purchasing your tickets so you don’t miss out on this classic Cherokee County event.

Taking place throughout the season, the Tower Garden 101 Workshop at ATL Urban Farms in Ball Ground will teach you all about tower gardening and how you can grow you own food, herbs, flowers, and fruits at home! This is the perfect way to get your green thumb ready for Spring planting.

Woodstock Art’s production of Sister Act will be at the Woodstock Arts Theatre from April 22nd to May 8th. Online pre-sale tickets are available at $15.75 and $20 at the door. Don’t miss out on this incredible, local production of the 90s hit musical, Sister Act!

Located in Waleska, Reinhardt College’s Falany Performing Arts Center will be showing 27 black and white photographs by award-winning photojournalist Neil B. McGahee. This exhibit will run from March 21st to April 8th, and to make it even better- admission is free!
