Hear, Here!

Hear, Here is a free bimonthly lecture series hosted at the Cherokee County History Center. Ranging in topics from the marble industry to the weather, these talks aim to explore our shared past in an engaging and thought-provoking way. Hear about it, right here at History Cherokee. History Factory workshops offer you the chance to take a hands-on, active approach to learning about our past. Registration for our next History Factory, "Yes, I Can!" is now open! Space is limited for this canning workshop so sign up while there's still space!

What's Up Wednesday

What's Up Wednesday

What’s Up Wednesday (WUW) is a monthly program designed for preschoolers and children between the ages of 3-7. Featuring a different theme each month, we’ll be learning about an interesting museum artifact, and then enjoy a related story, activity, or craft. The next What's Up Wednesday "What's Up with Serving Up History?" will take place February 28 at 11 a.m.

Coming Up: Archaeology Day!

History Cherokee's next major program will be titled "Archaeology Day." Featuring a variety of hands-on activities, talks, and demonstrations, this event is geared toward middle to high school students. Gather your tools and bring the whole family to Archaeology Day at the History Center on Saturday, March 30 from 1 - 4 p.m.

Activities and lectures tied to this program will be covered by the cost of Museum Admission.
