Back in August 1958, the Canton Cotton Mill hosted its first Denim Days Festival right in the heart of Canton. The festival was a huge success, attracting hundreds of visitors with food, games, and entertainment celebrating Cherokee County's most famous product of that time - Indigo blue denim.
Our grand opening event aims to capture this piece of history and to pay homage to the old days. On November 5th, from 11:00am - 3:00pm, the Cherokee County History Center will be providing food, entertainment, and activities for all guests who visit the history center! This includes:
And more!
All activities outside will be free for all visitors!
Admission into the history center will not be complimentary for Hey Day. The History Center will be open that Saturday from 10:00am - 5:00pm. Please visit our home page for more information on ticket pricing.
Doors open at 10am, so be sure to arrive a little early!
